Optical Frame Assembly
Numerous aluminum machined parts, extruded rails, anti-vibration leveling mounts, and sheet metal fabricated parts make up this frame assembly used for an analytical instrument. Frame is then completed with painted and silkscreened panels.
Laser cut from 18 gauge CRS, measures 19″ x 11″ x 9″. After forming, hardware is installed and part is zinc plated. Used in the Printing Equipment industry.
Manufactured for a laboratory instrument, this 9 piece assembly as 8 parts machined from 316L stainless steel and 1 part machined from Delrin. After welding, the assembly is mechanically polished and electro polished. Fine surface finishes are required to minimize lodging of particles. A .013″ cross hole is drilled and must be completely burr-free.
Tolerances are critical to this part used in an analytical instrument. Measures 1.16″ x .75″ and made from 6061-T6 aluminum with electroless nickel finish.
