Congratulations Mille Lacs Raiders!

After 5 days of competition, the Mille Lacs Raiders Super Mileage Team has so much to be proud of! They got to spend a week with almost full access to the most famous racetrack in the world! They passed tech inspection on their rookie year before the competition started and placed in the top 20 in their division with some of the most prestigious engineering schools in the western hemisphere.

They completed the MOST runs in their division and are among four schools across all divisions (76 teams) to have eight runs total and among five schools across all divisions to have seven qualifying runs! They also made an improvement of 71.86% in efficiency from their first run to their final run 62.9-108.1 mi/KWh or 3,643 MPGe!

This was the largest improvement of any high school in their division and the second most next to the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education of Monterrey, Mexico. (168% increase.) All of the kids did great – they went to learning sessions, they worked on the vehicle as a team, they helped other teams and had so much fun!
